The Women's Development Training Center was established in the year 2003 with the help of the Ford Foundation. Established for the first time in Nepal for the upliftment of women by developing their skills, this training center was contributing to the capacity of women after establishment and to increase their income and practice gender concept. With the change of time, the center has been playing an effective role in the capacity development of local representatives and staff.
After the passage of the political change of 5 years, after the passage of the Local Development Training Establishment Act, 19 as per the objective of developing the training centers as an autonomous institution, the training center was established under the local development training establishment. It has been conducting its programs as a state-level training center in the state.
This training center, which has been working for a long time for developing local capacity, has gained a lot of experience and knowledge. The main focus of this center is to provide training, research and consulting services to the representatives and staff (especially women) of the village and municipality.
